Core-System Maintenance

First up, one needs to discover one’s core-system.

That’s a big chunk.

We’ve spoken about it. Again and again.

Why?

Meaning, why was it required to speak about this again and again?

We have problems putting our core-system together, that’s why.

Why do we have these problems?

We fail to sort properly. What belongs in? What needs to be kicked out? We’re not able to answer these questions properly.

People, what is working? While this thing is working, are we comfortable? Yes? Lastly, is this thing looking lucrative? Yes? Keep it.

Is something not working? Kick it out.

Look for the next thing that works.

Find three or four things things that work.

Intertwine them into a core-system.

That’s it.

It’s that simple.

Maintain your core-system. Tweak it upon requirement. If something stops working, replace it.

Yeah, even maintenance is that simple.

When will we acknowledge that…

… the best things in life are not complicated or sophisticated, but…

… simple?

The CC

Done it again.

Introducing…

…the…

…Constitutional Comparative (CC).

It’s in our constitutions…to compare.

We exhibit the constitutional comparative by default…

…and we need to expunge this trait from our DNA…

…which takes time…

…but can be done, with determination and practice.

Each one of us is unique, and we’ve come to do unique things.

Some blossom early.

Some blossom late.

Some don’t blossom at all, or so it seems. Turns out later, their sole purpose in life was to provide stabilizing energy to their environment. They became activated from the womb, and they deactivated upon death. There was no question of blossoming at a certain time. You could also say, that they blossomed their whole life long.

SEE?

Don’t compare.

You can’t see the wheels within wheels just like that.

Seeing wheels within wheels takes insight, penance and an appropriate state of mind. Therefore, if you really must compare, at least graduate to that state of mind first, where you possess the capability to see wheels within wheels in action.

Or, if graduating to this state of mind is not worth your while, well, fine, no probs, but…

…DON’T COMPARE then…please.

Live your life.

Do what you’ve come to do.

If you don’t know what you’ve come to do, well, FIND OUT.

HOW?

Go within.

Talk to yourself. Yeah, it’s not crazy to talk to yourself.

In solitude come phenomenal solutions.

You realise who you are…

…and what you’ve come to do.

In a crowd, such finer points get lost, in the noise.

And, why all this on a blog which has to do with finance?

Well, you can only invest properly if you’ve found yourself first.

If you know who you are, you’ll also invest like who you are, as per your risk profile.

A portfolio put together with the knowledge of your own risk profile will last you long, and will give you good returns for life.

🙂

Moment Enhancement

How do you enhance your situation at any given moment?

What are we talking about?

You.

Time.

Activity.

Betterment of your situation.

As compared to previous moment.

What kind of betterment?

Any.

What kind of situation?

Any.

How?

You tell me.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a personal sphere.

Everybody’s idea of betterment is different.

I write, for example.

Clears my mind.

I organize.

My stuff.

Gears me up to approach the next moment, more organized.

I clear useless stuff. As in give it away. Frees up more space.

Are you getting my drift?

What do you do?

To make your next moment more enhanced?

I plan my next three activities – what are they going to be?

I ask my one main question.

What is the next step?

Yeah people, brick by brick.

What for?

Yeah, exactly?

Why would one do this?

To lead a fuller and more meaningful life.

To give of oneself fully.

To make more of one’s existence.

Again, reasons are personal, and will differ.

What would your reasons be, to enhance your next moment?

This is a baby-step strategy. You’re living in the moment with it. You’re not looking far ahead, only actually till your next defined moment.

Big targets are approachable one baby step at a time.

One enhances moment upon moment, and suddenly, one hits a big target.

Not too bad. Was well worth it.

Try it out. 🙂

Do You Know What the Most Underrated Activity is?

C’mon, try guessing at least… 🙂

Yeah…

… doing nothing is the answer, in my opinion.

We want to move. Be active. Do this. Do that. We’re a “doodat” society.

For us, activity has become synonymous with achievement.

How wrong is that?

Completely.

One can be active…

…and be achieving zilch. Nix. Nadda.

The moment we realize this, the value of doing nothing dawns upon us.

What are we achieving by doing nothing?

A lot.

Believe me.

A lot a lot a lot.

For starters, we are not taxing our eyes with media. That’s one of the greatest side-effects of doing nothing. Our eyes take a hit in today’s media-packed world. Doing nothing gives them a very valuable break.

Furthermore, while doing nothing, we are perhaps watching our thoughts and not reacting to them. Or, we are listening to our breathing pattern. These two activities fall under the category of “meditation while doing nothing”.

So now, doing nothing is a form of meditation…wow! Already we are moving in higher circles.

While doing nothing, we are refraining from most or all activities, and these include all negative activities, so we’ve got our Karma-usage pretty much on hold. That’s already very big.

Meanwhile, our thoughts drain. We are getting empty. Positive energy flows in to fill the vacuum. We are getting healthy by doing nothing, and are filling ourselves up with goodness by default.

Our focus turns to our breath. Wow, we breathe. We are a wonder. There’s metabolism happening. We realise that our existence is already something big. All this while doing nothing.

We rest. Our senses get a break. Our heart needs to beat less. Poor heart, it never gets a full break, until the very end. In the interim, it has to make do with beating less per unit time. It is grateful for such small mercies.

Resting makes us gear up for forthcoming activity. Our bodies and minds refresh themselves for new endeavours…by doing nothing.

Try it out.

Do nothing.

Perhaps it was lacking in your repertoire.

It won’t be lacking now.

Use it like a secret weapon!

The Tipping Point

What is it about tips?

Why do they have that lure? That magnetic effect? That greed-invoking element? That goosebumps-causing energy?

Tips thrive in any market.

They are given at the drop of a hat.

The giver feels he or she is doing a favour. The receiver feels obliged.

What has led to the giver feeling complaecent that he or she has something one his or her hands?

The giver was a receiver, a very short time ago.

He or she got sucked …

… into the story.

The story is tempting.

It builds upon many half-truths and binds them together in such a presentable manner, that one’s defences, if any, are just maimed.

In comes the tip.

Off goes the mind, counting the unmade bucks.

In goes the money.

Mostly, it doesn’t materialize.

Why?

Tips do the rounds as short-cuts in people’s half-baked minds.

A short-cut to wealth.

The 99% here don’t want to do the spade work. They don’t want to get their hands dirty. They want spectacular returns, though, and they want them now.

That’s the short-circuit.

Investing is about doing lots of research. You dig. And then some more. It’s about patience. You wait. And then some more. It’s about having a sorted mind, and then going in. It’s a full-time occupation, unless you streamline it so well, that it then goes hand in hand with your other daily activities, and drops into the background like a mantra that keeps resonating with your breath.

Does one become a brain-surgeon in a few hours?

Do you ask the brain-surgeon to teach you brain surgery in a day?

NO.

It takes time, study, effort, will-power, finances, mindset, etc. etc. to become a brain-surgeon.

It takes a lot of similar things to become a successful investor.

You make yourself into one.

It’s your effort.

You don’t become one following tips.

People ask for tips. Daily. It’s a disease. I’m scarcely able to deal with it. I just evade.

Folks, those who ask for tips are expecting to be made a brain-surgeon in one day. Not happening. It’s a short-circuited way of thinking. Don’t ask for tips. Invest on your own. Do the study. Invest the time and effort. Make mistakes. Become fully baked.

Go for it.

The whole nine yards.

Yeah, the whole hog.

Multitaskers and OnebyOners

Yeah, I made up that word…

…why not?

Who makes the rules?

Do you listen to all rules?

Breaking some rules is harmless…

… and those are the ones I love to break!

We live in the fast-track.

Is there a place for slowdy-lumps?

Well, no, and yes. Or, yes, and no.

Are you a fan of multi-tasking?

I’m not, by the way. Have to have to, sometimes. Don’t like it.

Why?

I don’t like doing anything in a half-baked fashion. I’m sure that on some level, you don’t either. Either in it for the whole hog, or count you out, right?

Yeah. Or so thought I.

World moves. It passes you by. If you don’t multi-task. Juggle. Use whatever word you wish to.

Is it healthy?

No.

Multi-tasking leads to confusion in the mind-body continuum. Feelings of enjoyment and satisfaction are muddled and befuddled at best.

Is that the quality of life you want?

No.

I want clear-cut stuff.

Clear-cut defined effort. Clear-cut defined satisfaction and enjoyment.

I’m a onebyoner. I get the above kind of satisfaction and enjoyment. It is wholesome. Quality of life enhancing.

Am I old-fashioned?

Don’t care.

Why?

Because quality of life is more important to me than looking stupid for a bit.

Try being a onebyoner for a while. Note the difference in the flow of life. You get to stop between completed tasks. Breathe. Take a break. Do something else. Move on to the next task. One step at a time. Brick by brick.

Life is more enjoyable.

Try it.

Nothing Uncool About Solitude

Solitude…

… happens.

Sometimes, we’re in company, and sometimes we’re alone.

Being alone is ok.

One thinks.

One evolves.

There’s introspection.

Solutions dawn.

Before greatness…

… comes solitude.

In company, you grow relative to another.

In solitude, you grow relative to yourself.

Both kinds of growth are necessary. In other words, growth that occurs whilst being by yourself is also necessary.

Cut to the markets.

In the markets, one is responsible for oneself.

Decisions are required. Sometimes big ones. Who does one rely on?

On oneself.

How?

One has learnt to.

During tenures of solitude.

What’s the Next Step?

Movement is from step to step.

That’s stable movement.

During stable movement, one is aware of former step, gap, and latter step.

Transition is smooth.

Former step is digested well and moved on from.

Latter step is taken on with enthusiasm.

The cycle repeats, so on and so forth.

Yeah, given above is one question that I ask myself many times a day – What’s the next step?

The next step dawns upon one.

Mostly, that’s when it’s the correct one.

It’s coming from depth.

It’s the Universe speaking.

The Universe tells you the next step, from within you. The Universe is in you.

Sometimes, you’re not sure.

Ok, happens. It’s normal.

Ask, simply.

Ask the Universe.

It’ll tell.

You need to listen to the answer.

The Universe speaks in many ways. These are subtle ways. You have to be receptive to subtle answers.

Once you realise what’s the next step, you also feel that – oh, so simple, the answer was staring at me in the face, why didn’t I realise this earlier – or something to that effect.

The most logical next steps in the world are also the simplest ones.

We’ve become complicated. We refuse to think simply, till Nature forces us to do so, sometimes causing pain during the cleansing process.

Think SIMPLE, people. Empty your minds. Let the next step dawn upon you. Let your mind experience that – aha! of course! that’s it! – feeling.

The most beautiful ideas in the world – are simple ones.

Evolution Anyone?

What kind of a game do you prefer?

Do you like to play without challenge? Where you won’t be pushed, to your limit perhaps? Where you know the solutions? Where you’re king?

Or, do you like the game to challenge you? The game pushes you around. You don’t know the solutions. You’re not king. Do you like that kind of game?

Why am I asking?

Well, simply because I concern myself with growth.

As in evolution.

I measure life in evolution per unit time.

The latter kind of game evolves you. You score heavily, though this might not show on the outside, yet. It will eventually. Big time. Promise.

The former kind of game deceives you. You kinda start believing you’re actually king, and start behaving like one too. The fall from a height can be so heavy, that it can decapacitate you, forever. Who would want that? Not even you. But you’re too busy playing king to remember. This is the reminder, right here, right now.

Wake up pal, to the coffee.

Play some latter games. Try converting loser odds to winning ones. That’s the big league.

If you’re king, fine, be a good one. Do good to many. Make it count. In your spare time, though, do some other stuff which takes you into uncharted territory. That’ll round you off as a king.

What is it about uncharted territory?

Eventually you’ll find yourself in one. It just happens, suddenly.

What do you count upon?

Assets.

Ability to not panic.

Clear thinking.

Savings.

Relationships.

Gut-feel.

Courage.

Mental strength.

Fill in the blanks.

All of the above have to be developed / nurtured. In some way or the other, all of the above come by charting new territories. A new relationship is nurtured into a solid life-long asset. A new job becomes a steady earner. Savings accrue. Mental / intuitive assets strengthen themselves by being exposed to tricky situations. These will always be there for you, in your next situation.

Don’t be a bore. Take that calculated jump. No one’s asking you to jump off the cliff. However, times are such that you’ll need to think out of the box, again and again, and again.

Steps are the New Currency

Walking walking walking…

… steps.

We’re logging them.

We’re thinking more about them than dollars, pounds, euros or rupees.

How many steps’ve you done today?

And who’s we?

We’s a collective. People who’ve gotten financial basics sorted, but perhaps not health basics. However these people have realized that. Smart.

Why smart?

Simple.

To enjoy one’s financial basics, one’s health basics need to be in place.

Place health before wealth, and you enjoy your wealth.

No health, but wealth, well, then you don’t enjoy your wealth.

We’re also in it for quality of life, right?

Therefore, yeah, treat steps as a very valid currency that gives you the ticket to enjoy other physical currencies and their benefits.

Logged 10k for the day yet? Or 15k?

Yeah? Super.

No? Why not? What are you waiting for? Step up, buddy!

Manipulation / Fraud / Ponzi – I Reject You

I detest manipulation, and manipulators.

I like people who are straight-forward, without hidden agendas. Simplicity is gold. Simplicity breeds success. Simplicity gives satisfaction from within.

All the twisting and turning, wheeling and dealing, wangling and dangling of manipulation makes me want to puke.

Therefore, manipulators, frauds, Ponzis, I reject you. Manipulation doesn’t make the manipulator happy. Try it and see. I’m 100% sure your story won’t have a happy end.

Rejection is a simple process. When you reject something, you stay away from it. You get out of its way when it is in the vicinity. You head off elsewhere when that something is headed in your direction. Everyone’s probably been rejected sometime or someplace, so everyone probably understands rejection.

Well, rejection is one thing, but how does one recognise a manipulator, fraud, or Ponzi?

Recognition is key.

This breed of people talk sweet. They appear harmless. They don’t lose arguments. Quick, witty, sharp. Fast thinkers. They keep you hanging. Give ambiguous answers. Mostly, they like to not answer at all, so as to keep you dancing around them, making you more vulnerable to their schemes or ulterior motives. If you’re interested in their something, they use silence as a weapon. You’re hot, you’re interested, they’re silent, makes you hotter, makes you more interested. The idea is that ultimately, when the manipulator breaks the silence, you lap up whatever you’re getting. Also, they keep you hungry for more. Manipulators are vicious, vile people.

Where manipulators push you to act, slowly, but steadily, by twisting and turning your world in the manner they consider appropriate (since you’ve given them that power), frauds outright present a reality which sucks you in to sign the dotted line. Frauds sell a dream. It’s a great dream. You want to be a part of it. It overwhelms you. It’s almost too good to be true.

Ponzis are frauds. They sell the dream of unrealistically large returns. They count on greed to cloud your vision. They lure new sets of investors by distributing investorial proceeds from one set of investors as dividends to slightly older investors, and so on and so forth, till the bandwagon is overloaded with thousands of investors paying full-throttle only to see the Ponzi vanish next day, with everything, never to be heard of again.

When someone doesn’t give you a straight-forward answer, walk the other way. Don’t bother with benefit of doubt, just walk the other way. With very high probability, you’ll have avoided a manipulator. When someone uses silence as a weapon, walk away ten miles. Warn everyone of a mega-manipulator in the neighbourhood. Analyze sweet- and smooth-talk ten times. Is there any truth in what’s being said, or are the words an eye-wash, hiding a fraud behind themselves? If you’re not greedy, you won’t fall for a Ponzi. Don’t be greedy. Period.

You’ve hit full cycle.

You’ve understood the existence of the breed we speak about. It has dawned upon you. Let’s call this “internal realization”.

Then comes “external recognition”, of the breed being in your vicinity, and trying to exercise its powers upon you.

Lastly, comes “complete rejection”.

Well done.

You’ve saved yourself from lots of emotional and or monetary trouble.

Spread the word.

Apple just went Retina plus, right?

Not that your retina is going to register it, …

… but we’ve entered the retina plus age, …

… and nobody intends on stopping.

Where’s this going?

“They” themselves don’t know.

Similar goes it perhaps with your funds in the bank.

Work towards your magic number.

Fine.

Totally fine.

Fine fine fine.

Wish for you that you go beyond…

… your magic number.

What happens for you then?

Do you revise your magic number, and start working towards your new magic number…

… thus enslaving yourself for life?

Or…
…do you now start functioning…
… beyond money?

Think about it.

Do you cap it at retina? I mean, you could then use your time and resources to something bombastically world-changing, something that has nothing to do with retina?

Or…
… will you continue to be a zombie?

Wish for you, that you take the “wake-up”  decision upon arriving at above juncture.

🙂

There’s no God, is there?

Or is it just us?

We’re both good and bad, us humans.

Sometimes we strive for the highest. At other times, we stoop to the lowest.

Yeah, it’s just us.

Our best deeds appear Godly to someone in need. Someone or the other plays God to someone or the other in a spot, every now and then.

And that’s amazing. Of course an act like that sure helps that someone in need, but what does an act like that do for the someone who’s doing it?

Vacuum.

Are you familiar with the principle of vacuum?

Vacuum governs flow.

High-pressure flows towards low-pressure. Vacuum is as low-pressure as it gets.

What kind of flow does an act of charity attract?

Goodness.

By doing good, you attract more goodness towards you.

Goodness can even take the form of wealth.

Boost your wealth.

Be good.

Commit copious acts of goodness.

Play God to millions.

Let there be no need for an actual God.

I don’t like saying it, but that’s the best cushioning / protection you can give to your portfolio.

Truth is truth.

Benevolent principles need to be propagated.

I don’t care about how awkward it looks.

I write because I care.

What Do You Live For?

From target to target…

…what are we striving for really?

We achieve… and move on.

Next step, please.

Yeah, that is a recurring phrase / question on my mind.

I climb a small step, and I ask myself – what is the next step?

Then comes identification of this next step.

Then comes climbing of it.

Then comes the question again.

What is the next step?

One can go on and on like this.

What is it that we actually want to achieve?

Goals will come and go.

Something or the other will always be out of whack.

You fix it.

Something else starts to bother you.

You fix that.

Then something else.

You get the picture.

The question being asked here is … what is the driving force? What gives us satisfaction? What are we in it for?

Different people might give different answers.

My take is that it boils down to one thing.

The feeling of exhilaration…after a target…that endorphin burst…that sense of having gotten somewhere…that excitement about being on the right track…about being vindicated…that something…however which way you wish to describe it…is it. It is that what we strive for. I feel so. At the centre of things in life, is the desire for that state of being. My humble opinion.

I try and stay with it. Once that feeling comes, that is. If comes off and on. There are so many targets in life, mostly small ones. So the endorphin burst happens quite often actually. For that matter it happens while exercising too. Whenever it happens, however it happens, I try to stay with it. I try to enjoy that moment. That moment gives it all a very beautiful meaning.

Staying with the moment…didn’t someone else say that? Wasn’t it the Dalai Lama?

Happy Fifth Birthday, Magic Bull!

Turning 5, tick-tock, how time flies!

Has the game changed?

No.

What are we in it for? Why do we play?

Bread and butter. Security. Children, their future. Ourselves. Goals. Luxury. Whatever makes us tick.

Each time we tick, let’s tick better.

Mistakes mean learning. We’re seeing them as tuition fees, because mistakes cost money. They are the only real learning. You learn when you’re hit. You learn from the pain.

All other learning is – paper learning. It doesn’t translate into our DNA easily (or at all). For DNA-translation, there needs to be a biochemical change in the body. Metamorphosis. If paper-learning does that for you, well, you’re lucky. Count your blessings. To be envied.

Rewards bring hubris.

Hubris makes us vulnerable.

How?

We get lazy and are caught napping. Off-guard. Hubris-condition coupled with big market-mistake can mean downfall. Don’t want to take names, but exactly this has happened to many.

What is it about success? What does it do to the human being? Why do we stop being ourselves once we succeed? Why do we stop learning once we succeed?

Yet, each one of us strives for success.

Can we remember to behave ourselves once we succeed?

What kind of behaviour are we talking about?

The same behaviour that paved the way for success. Can we maintain that same standard of behaviour? Why is that difficult? It becomes difficult because the after-party causes hangovers. Let’s just scrap the after-party. Let’s continue to be ourselves even after we succeed.

Instead of the after-party, let’s do something for society, for example. We can even pursue a constructive side-game, which has nothing to do with the main-game. It keeps us ticking on a different level.

It’s important to tick. The opposite of that is stagnation. Ticking means evolution.

Evolution means that the next time you take a shot, you’ve better at your game. You’ve evolved because of past learning. You are human capital, remember?

Happy Ticking!

🙂

Making Sense of Losing Battles

Winning gets boring after a while.

Unbelievable, but true.

However, losing continues to pinch, time after time.

That’s the key difference between winning and losing.

Life’s bipolar game is skewed more towards the pinch of continuous loss than towards the continued pleasure of winning.

Get used to losing… but, lose small.

Win big. Don’t nip a small win in the bud and thus stop it from becoming a big win.

Sometimes, you identify losing battles.

These are areas where you’re just not able to win.

What do you do with a losing battle?

Walk away. One option. Weigh the odds. If your walking away impacts no one, and simultaneously betters your existence, yeah, this is a very valid option. For example, one walks away from a losing trade.

Fight. Second option. You’re not beyond your stop, whether in a trade or in life. You fight, to save the battle, and perhaps to win.

Learn. Third option. You’re not able to get away from the losing battle, because your exit impacts something or someone. You hang on. No choice. Your pain teaches you big things. You learn. Sometimes, such a big losing battle suddenly turns into a glorious win. That’s because all the lessons from the scenario have been learnt. Enjoy, you deserve it.

Devolution. Not an option. Don’t allow your losing battle to devolve you into a demon.

Incorporation. Very valid option. Incorporate the learnt lessons from your losing battles into winning strategies for other battles in life.

Cheers.

Core-System Discovery

You look.

Perhaps without success.

You look again.

And again.

So on and forth.

Till you find.

What?

An addition to your core-system.

What’s a core-system?

The better question here would be – what’s your core-system?

Now, fortunately or unfortunately, that’s for you to find.

In a nutshell, your core-system is that something which makes you tick. It has as many facets as you wish it to have. Each facet needs to be discovered, attached, fine-tuned, tried, tested and finally welcomed to or rejected from your core-system.

Facets are not limited to your professional life. Your core-system makes you tick on an all-round basis.

For example, brewing and savouring that perfect cup of tea could be an important facet. Finding, fine-tuning and enjoying your favorite media-source could be another. Blogging could be one. Sport. Hobbies. Family time. People skills. Yeah, now we’re getting professional. You can fill in your professional blanks.

Discovery costs. Time, effort, funds, nerve, sweat. It’s worth it many times over when you find a fit. Please believe me.

Some things don’t fit. You think you want them badly, but the harder you try, the more they refuse to fit. After trying your hardest, you need to conserve your life-force to look for another fit. What didn’t fit didn’t fit for a reason. It’s not mandatory for Nature to reveal that reason to you. Move on.

Keep looking for fits. Eventually, you’ll have a robust core-system, which will make you tick exceptionally.

Happy Findings!

🙂

Small Things are Big Things

You’ve covered lot of ground, and are now cleaning up the field.

You’re tying up the loose ends.

Your small acts here count big.

Please see them through to their logical conclusion.

Don’t get up without completing full action.

An act at or towards the end leans on the main piece of action which you’ve already fulfilled.

It’s loaded on a spring. It’s effectivity is enormous. However, you are tired. You’re looking to close up. Hashtags, man, what are these hashtags!? Why do I have to put them, you’re saying to yourself. What purpose do they serve? Let me just forget about them.

No.

Hashtags are just one thing. A small thing, but then, a big thing.

Tying your act into your own seamless sphere is another such thing.

I know, it’s a pain…but seamlessness is a beautiful feeling.

I like to imagine that seamlessness is the equivalent of free-falling in a mad, mad world. Maybe that’s a nonsensical analogy, but that’s what I like to imagine. Seamlessness gives you a huge advantage in today’s world. Take it. Make the effort to keep yourself seamless.

Backing up, yeah yeah. Who likes backups? You’ve got to do them, however. No pain, no gain. I’ll talk to you after some data-loss. Only bother hooking up with me if you’re well backed-up. I don’t have the energy to lend a shoulder that withstands your tears in the event you weren’t back-up.

Where hashtags stop, that’s where your organisational skills should take over. Meaning, that one hashtag-search could give a thousand results. How do you still find what you’re looking for? Logic. You’ve used your logic while organising your work. Logically, your file should be somewhere, and that’s the somewhere you look. 90%+ you’ll find it there. Follow seamless logic. The first logical avenue that comes to mind…take it. Yeah, your seamlessness also stands on your own seamless logic.

Staying with what counts is a small thing, but again, it’s a big thing.

On the path, one strays. One is distracted. What do you do?

The mind is like a baby.

Don’t deny it outright.

Trick it.

Let it stray for a bit.

Then, when its defences are down, bring it back to the main path.

Keep bringing it back, until it starts getting a rooting righ by returning to home-base every half an hour. That’s the sweet-spot.

Don’t lose yourself into lost causes.

Achieve. Fine. Set goals. Sure. Get them done. Great. Move on.

Moving on is one small step. However, it’s a big step. Not many have the strength or the mental capacity to move on. Make sure you do.

How?

Open your eyes and see the world.

If you feel that your one achievement is going to make it spin, fine, stay on there, good for you. If not, please move on to your next achievement. Keep doing this till you find that one big, big thing for yourself. By that time, you’ll have many small things going on auto-pilot anyways.

Get a grip. Nip something small when it’s small. Get to the big. Go for it. 🙂

Who’s the Driver?

Are you an artist?

If you are, you’ll already perhaps know who the driver is.

Or, maybe, you’re in the process of finding out.

Ultimately, whatever you’re doing can become an art.

What drives you?

Are you understanding what I’m trying to ask?

What pushes you on, with the art? What makes you want to create… more? What makes you want your art to be more… bombastic? Powerful? Impactful? Meaningful? Lucrative perhaps? What?

Is it mere ambition?

Naehhhhh, mere ambition is not enough.

There has to be some kind of… pain.

You have to ache somewhere, to let it out elsewhere.

Pain drives.

It can drive you beyond… itself.

That’s the thing with pain.

Slowly, you get used to pain, quantum by quantum. Your system doesn’t feel that particular quantum anymore. It’s feeling the surplus, though. How’re you bearing the surplus? By hanging on to your art. Your art takes you away from the surplus pain that you would have felt. You channelize the force of surplus pain into your art. Your art shines. On the side, you don’t feel a lot of pain anymore.

It’s really important to understand where there will be learning, and where there probably won’t be.

I’m not saying non-learning areas are to be avoided. They’re comfortable areas. Nobody likes to avoid comfortable areas. Sure. Nor do I. I’m just saying that comfy areas won’t really be enhancing your learning process. Let’s just be clear about it. If you have any art to express, any kind of art, full expression probably won’t come through if you entrench yourself in a comfort-zone.

Know what I mean?

Yeah?

Good.

You don’t need to ask who the driver is. You’ve worked with the driver.

It’s Boiling Down to Getting Your Basics Right Smartie

Yeah, everything else is following.

We’re in flow.

World moves.

Decisions are taken as a matter of course.

It’s the build-up where stuff happens.

You’re nailing the build-up dear.

Million dollar question – how?

It’s all about systems.

Systems, systems, systems.

Get your systems in place.

Be cumulative.

Also, seamless.

Minimum overheads. Low-maintenance.

And, don’t stop flowing.

No, this is not very vague. It’s all happening. I describe it as it happens. Words used are for lack of better ones. These words describe the situation more than adequately. Don’t want more from them.

You’re in circulation. You can last. Very soon, something will stick. Your systems will start flashing. They’ll alert you to the next action zone. Engage where they’re telling you. It’s as simple as that.

Don’t ignore the flash of your systems once it happens. Ignoring would be the opposite of flowing. Don’t stop flowing.

You’re seamless, so you can expound upon something, anytime, anyplace. Good show. You can decide anytime, anyplace, whether you’re going with something. Need of the hour.

You’re cumulative. Next time you tackle the same situation, you have that much more hit-power, because the learning from the past encounter is at your fingertips (because you’re seamless, remember).

What’s gone into your systems?

Hit and trial.

Chopping off loser ideas. Letting winning ideas grow. Models. Winning models. You’re full of them. Something will start flashing, sometime, someplace. Follow it.

That’s how you flow, man.

The rest, as they say, will be History.
