Wealth n point m

Hey.

I like doing stuff …

… myself.

Study.

Research.

Ideas.

Thought process.

System generation.

Edge development.

Ensemble implementation.

Start to finish.

Complete independence in thought process …

… sets up ‘pioneering’ output.

Gets lonely though.

I’m not afraid of silence, or being alone where I’m working. Still, long spells of professional growth are very…

…alone, in my lines of work…

… which are all computer based.

There’s no talking involved.

Some processes take half a day to develop upon the back of to and fro typalogue with the AI.

During market hours, there’s no talking either. Just the self, the terminal and markets. AI on the side.

Pre-market prep — post-market analysis — astrological analysis — language learning — how do I solve this one?

Wait a minute, language learning, there’s something there.

Ya, found it.

Language apps have a speak module. One can practice speaking a foreign language with the app’s AI.

There’s more. Chanting. Did I mention that I’m an amateur Nichiren Buddhist? We chant. Out aloud. Anything spoken is an outlet. For me. Buddhist practice encompasses visiting people, or just sheer calling up someone to see how they are doing. Creation of good causes in life is gold.

Lot of near ones like to talk – to me.

They like my view on things.

Need to take care not to intimidate.

Talking at the wave-length of the talking partner – that’s been a huge lesson for me.

And, that’s not the biggest lesson yet.

There are times when let’s say one is A+ in something, and one is thrown out into a field where one is E-.

Imagine what goes on in one’s mind.

When a hero turns to zero, it’s only because the mind is not comprehending the situation.

We should know our value.

Allowing one’s environment to dictate our self-worth is lesson not learnt.

Knowing one’s self-worth oneself is.

When your immediate environment doesn’t talk to you most of the time, or has some hangups with your personality, or for some reason just doesn’t like you, perhaps it’s not on you. Let’s not exclude that option.

What then? Sink? Or evolve?

Evolve.

To a point where understanding of the exact nature of immediate environment leads one to flip it just on the sheer basis of one’s behaviour.

Our behaviour patterns are what we carry forward, while other forms of wealth are left behind.

Constants

Hey.

We play the game…

…with numbers.

Numbers are…

…our thing.

The thing with numbers is…

…that once we create a constant for ourselves…

…a pivot…

…something like a compass…

…AI doesn’t have access to it.

It’s our number.

It’s in our mind.

By the time AI gains direct access to our mind, we’ll be gone.

For example, we establish a low buying average, over many buys, in something we consider to hold value.

Each individual establishes their own, meaning…

…it’s each person’s own low buying average.

It decides the multiple.

It’s the centre-half. The libero. It creates the play. It’s unique to a person. No AI access. The whole game has been taken away from AI. It remains a human game. It’s not what the masses are doing. It’s contrarian. It’s going to make money.

Volatility is a constant.

Disruption is a constant.

Fear is a constant.

Greed is a constant.

Mass-behaviour is a constant.

Pigs getting slaughtered is a constant.

We play it by constants.

We’ve even started using unique mass-logic defying indicators, that only we have defined, that no one else knows about or can dream of, and we’re using them successfully, with no access to AI.

We’re functioning from within a matrix where we control the game, AI doesn’t.

Beauty is, outside of our protective matrix, we have access to all of AI’s capabilities, should we choose to use them.

Not yet though. Specifically after the 160+ girls murder rumoured to be caused by intel provided by AI, correct me if I’m wrong. AI as it currently is doesn’t seem ready for seamless implementation. All those foolishly believing so at this moment are the pigs referred to above. Pigs get what? Slaughtered. I didn’t say this first. It’s a common market saying. Markets are a – constant. We trust constants.

There will be many more blow-ups before seamlessness is achieved.

Think of banking systems causing and compounding massive errors because of blind reliability on AI.

This of AI suggested war strategy backfiring because of lack of understanding of human psyche.

Think of investment strategy imploding, left with eyes wide shut to AI, owing to lack of proper understating of human behaviour and its unpredictability. Anyways, on the plus side…

…think of any level of positive upheaval that AI will cause.

Think maximum.

Thought?

Since we play it by constants, we’ll continue to thrive, maximum disruption and beyond.

Such is the power of constants, that we successfully harness.

Meaning

Situations…

…arise.

Do I accept…

…my situation…

…or don’t I?

Unless something fits, I don’t deem it a fit.

Fighting…

…till the environment moulds…

…and fits…

…has been a normal response…

…for me.

Using this response, majority of circumstances are made to fit, and then one moves on to the next set.

However,…

…some situations refuse to mould.

These are the big ones.

They don’t go away.

They don’t change.

Hmmmm.

Most of these, I still don’t accept.

Plan B.

I fit.

These two words are not just two words.

There are worlds underneath.

How does one make oneself fit?

Change.

Behaviour.

Habits.

Body.

Mind.

DNA.

Changes that then incorporate into one’s reflexes, and, finally, into one’s long-term memory.

Takes a lot.

Mental checks.

Tolerance.

Control over speech.

Throwing temper into bin.

Exercise. Build-up to high-intensity. Need to generate human growth hormone (HGH). Its presence expedites what I wish to achieve.

Fasting. At times. At least IF. More HGH.

Cold showers. Even more HGH.

Deep sleep. If possible. Providing fast avenue for change to get incorporated at biochemical level.

Four months.

There’s visible change.

Six months.

It’s a fit.

I…

…have…

…fit(ted).

Feels good.

It’s a huge win.

Accomplishment unleashes a different set of hormones. These supply a feeling of fulfilment.

That’s not all.

There are one or two other situations in life, which belong to a different category.

They don’t fit.

Also, one doesn’t wish to fit.

They don’t go away either.

And, they don’t change.

Where does one stand, then?

These are the biggest ones.

These were sent to keep poking you.

Till the end.

What do I do with these?

Accept the category in play?

Have to, eventually.

Try everything pertaining to the prior two categories?

Of course. How else would I know?

When the category stands, and nothing works, there still remains a question.

Do I accept my situation?

I…

…don’t,…

…as this situation stands.

I…

…do,…

…with a twist.

Meaning.

Looking for meaning.

Mostly takes damn long to find meaning. Years. Decades? Can.

If am not able to find meaning, that’ll be the status till the end. One dies finding meaning, with regard to the particular situation.

If I do, that meaning is the twist.

Every time there’s a poke, I’ll think of the meaning.

With regard to the situation, one dies while acting upon the meaning.

And…

…why?

Why do they come, such ones?

Accelerated, enhanced, bumper growth?

It doesn’t happen without these.

Bridging the Gap

How does one bridge the middle overs?

Sure, a blogger who is simultaneously a cricket fan…

…will dish out analogies from cricket… 🙂 … !

We’re in the business of identifying extremes…

…and acting upon such identification.

Whatever is in the middle of these extremes…

…is, for us, an area of…

…inaction.

Do we know how to not act?

There is an impulse for action in all humans.

In these loaded times, this impulse is extreme.

Why do we not want to act when an extreme is not there yet?

During times of complete pessimism, one is able to purchase underlyings for a song.

Similarly, during times of total optimism, one is able to secure good exits for stuff that one wishes to get rid of.

How one behaves in between adds or subtracts significantly to or from one’s market success.

Selling early means lesser profits, and the same goes for buying late.

This is the kind of behavior that lessens our multiple, sometimes greatly.

This kind of behavior would be absolutely ok if one were trading.

We, @ Magic Bull, are in the business of effecting multiples.

Anything coming in the way of that is behavior we wish to avoid.

With markets normally trading between extremes about 95% of the time, this leaves us with a lot of time in which we do not act.

Also, it brings us back to the pivotal question – how do we manage not to act when everything and everyone around us is screaming for action?

We do – everything – else.

Apart form market action, there’s business activity, charity ventures, extra curricular activities, family time, sport, leisure, entertainment … … one’s day is packed.

There are two portions of the day when one is driven to the edge of action, though.

The first is after studying market opening.

This is when one does a half-hour call with one’s broker and just sheer discusses everything one is observing.

Strike 1.

Then, as one studies the close, this situation can arise again.

One writes, for example.

Or, annotates charts.

Observes prices.

Collects impressions…

…and demarcates patterns.

That’s sufficient.

Strike 2.

There’s no room for strike 3 – one just doesn’t let strike 3 happen.

The Benefit of Quantum upon Quantum

Underlying equity.

How do you protect against fraud and / or investor-unfriendliness?

You’ve done your research.

All good.

Stock is a buy.

Meets your parameters.

What’s the next step?

Protection.

You buy quantum upon quantum.

You don’t plunge into the stock with all you’ve got to give.

No.

You put in a quantum.

Then you wait.

Better opportunity arises.

Fundamentals haven’t changed. All still good.

You put in another quantum.

Quantum…

…upon quantum.

That’s how you keep entering the stock till it keeps giving you a reason to enter.

Year upon year.

Between quanta, you’re studying behaviour.

You’re looking for investor-friendliness.

Your next quantum is only going in if investor-friendliness continues.

No more investor-friendliness?

No more quanta.

You wait.

Will investor-friendly behaviour resume?

And you wait.

Is it coming?

Yes.

Good.

Upon buy criteria being met, next quantum goes in.

Not coming?

At all?

Ok. You’re looking to exit.

Market will give you a high to exit. That’s what markets do. They give lows, and highs.

Wait for the high.

High?

Exit.

When are you doing it Right?

There’s something called the Line.

You feel it.

It’s abstract.

You have to be its master.

Then, you’re doing it right.

Controlled, the line won’t disturb your life.

It’ll very probably add to your life, in terms of wealth.

If you let it control you, everything is finished.

Goodbye.

Life. Wealth. Peace of mind.

It pays to master the line.

How do you feel the line?

By being invested, or in a trade.

How do you master the line?

By being invested or in a trade, again and again, again and again, and then some. Simultaneously, you’re nipping your bad behaviour in the bud, while the line is on.

You control your temper. You don’t lose it.

You develop patience with loved ones.

You learn how to position-size the line, while winning or losing.

You attenuate all kinds of disturbance.

You keep going on and on like this, till one fine day, the line’s presence becomes a part of your life. Line-switch being on doesn’t change you or alter your behaviour in any negative manner anymore.

That’s when you’re doing it right.

Effects?

Trade on = like when trade was not on.

Investment? You’re not thinking about it.

You sleep well.

Good family life… not disturbed by the presence of the line.

Yeah.

Line.

Master it.

Happy Fifth Birthday, Magic Bull!

Turning 5, tick-tock, how time flies!

Has the game changed?

No.

What are we in it for? Why do we play?

Bread and butter. Security. Children, their future. Ourselves. Goals. Luxury. Whatever makes us tick.

Each time we tick, let’s tick better.

Mistakes mean learning. We’re seeing them as tuition fees, because mistakes cost money. They are the only real learning. You learn when you’re hit. You learn from the pain.

All other learning is – paper learning. It doesn’t translate into our DNA easily (or at all). For DNA-translation, there needs to be a biochemical change in the body. Metamorphosis. If paper-learning does that for you, well, you’re lucky. Count your blessings. To be envied.

Rewards bring hubris.

Hubris makes us vulnerable.

How?

We get lazy and are caught napping. Off-guard. Hubris-condition coupled with big market-mistake can mean downfall. Don’t want to take names, but exactly this has happened to many.

What is it about success? What does it do to the human being? Why do we stop being ourselves once we succeed? Why do we stop learning once we succeed?

Yet, each one of us strives for success.

Can we remember to behave ourselves once we succeed?

What kind of behaviour are we talking about?

The same behaviour that paved the way for success. Can we maintain that same standard of behaviour? Why is that difficult? It becomes difficult because the after-party causes hangovers. Let’s just scrap the after-party. Let’s continue to be ourselves even after we succeed.

Instead of the after-party, let’s do something for society, for example. We can even pursue a constructive side-game, which has nothing to do with the main-game. It keeps us ticking on a different level.

It’s important to tick. The opposite of that is stagnation. Ticking means evolution.

Evolution means that the next time you take a shot, you’ve better at your game. You’ve evolved because of past learning. You are human capital, remember?

Happy Ticking!

🙂
